We paid significantly less for the A321's then the 900ER's. The 330's were also a steal assuming airbus gets there act together on the 242 ton version and there are not more delays.
In the end the airbus order was all price. Airbus needed to fill production slots as those programs wind down and we got great deals.
Orders for either the 787 or 350 will not come nearly as cheap on the RFP due out shortly.
My point exactly. Of course it was based on price. From the LCP meeting I got the impression that we wouldn't see a decision on which widebody and how many until later this year. If it's Boeing, I'll be unconscious for awhile. Regardless though, you and I probably won't see much benefit from this order.
