While your last statement is true, I think the company has figgered out that they can break up trips and award smaller GSs at the last minute and not award an entire trip. In my category, there is one pilot that lives in Manhattan, and routinely gets a GS or more every month. They are many times the garbage trip talked about earlier, but more importantly they are awarded at the last minute. In a base that is 80% commuters, it is highly unlikely that anybody else is gonna get them, which is OK on a certain level, but it makes the whole system kind of worthless to a majority of pilots. I am still on the fence about the whole thing, but I can see the benefit of premium pay above a certain threshold for all.
