Not sure what standards you are referring to but I don't believe any one pays that much. And the direction is up as far as growth and upgrades. When I read the people on here bashing the PSA pilot group I can't help but wonder how long they have been in the industry. The current environment of downward pressure can be traced back to 2001 when we at Comair walked out for 89 days. We won a good contract. But within a couple months Chautagua went into their 30 day cooling off period and decided to under cut what we had just laid it on the line for.
They will say 911 happened and that may be partially to blame but since that time it has basically been down hill from there.
So if any one on here wants to bash a pilot group for agreeing to concessions think back to 2001. PSA is not alone in giving concessions. They were small enough they could of easily been closed down. And one more note. ALPA has had a big hand in all of this also. But that is a story of it's own.
