The agent had given her an empty seat in coach, but I was not aware that we can take off-line F/A's as 'jumpseaters', that's the first time I've ever seen it. Can our F/A's jumpseat on JB or SWA or AA or...?
And what if the plane had been full, can an off line F/A ride in one of our F/A jumpseats? This also brings up the old 'you're not trained on the doors' excuse for not allowing pilots to ride in off-line F/A jumpseats.
Are offline F/A's allowed to JS on us or did the gate agent just do her a favor?
Our FA's jumpseat on JBLU all the time. They have reciprocal J/S on other carriers as well. I believe but may be wrong, there has to be a seat available in the cabin.
