Which leather did you choose from Pops? I got an MH one and it was way too heavy, stiff, and thick. Sent it back for refund. Wondering if a different leather would make a difference. Or maybe there's just a breakin time?
I have the calfskin leather from Pop's. Some places only have grainy calfskin and that type will have the rough grainy texture to it. My Pop's calfskin in smooth and did not require a break in like my M&H did. There is lambskin too, which is very smooth, but more susceptible to rips. I would stick with plan non-grainy calfskin.
