In all reality, some guys may just wear long sleeve shirts, all year round, to ensure an added protection against the sun and harmful UV rays at altitude. I'll show my toolishness and point out that, per the FOM, one cannot wear a long sleeve shirt as part of the summer uniform (without the coat) except to malaria endemic destinations. Hence the reason I've never bought a long sleeve shirt!
