Thank you for getting you JAG involved! Since you quote an attachment 11- which date was it pulled from? I was a 30 Jan sep.
For the healthcare/180 days of tricare- the back of my red ID I believe said under the medical block "DIRECT: YES" having looked at the options (I'm back on a CAC card in my AFRC unit)- I believe when you final outprocess and get your ID whatever code/card spits out of the machine is tied to whether TRICARE says you are covered for 180 days for free.
IF I'd have gone to TRICARE AFTER not before getting my ID card on the outprocessing sheets before final out day I'd might have caught that I had coverage in TRICARE when MPF and the VSP site said I DID NOT- it would have saved me about $300 of personal coverage.
Glad to see that others are hearing you get 180 days- when you are outprocessing get your civilian ID card first, then goto Tricare and see what you are loaded in their system to receive for healthcare coverage.
