SMACFUM, Don't take offense. You just don't know what you don't know. The environment is different. I am making an assumption that you are a current CFI busting your ass to get to a 121 gig. If the assumption is wrong I apologize. I was a CFI and the majority of folks I fly with were CFI's as well. Most guys / gals I fly with at OO flew at another regional before coming here. I flew at Lakes. In our new hire class at OO we had 3 out of 20 guys who had just come from instructing. It was difficult for them, more so than for the rest of us.

I think HERRIK's point is that there is a huge leap between flying at 100 kts around your local turf as opposed to flying 250 kts to the FAF at LAX while executing the company profiles.
