I commuted from DTW-MSP very briefly before the merger and have gone back and forth semi-regularly since then so take it for what it's worth. There are a ton of flights and a fair number of A320s on the route so there are a lot of jump seated. There are also a lot of jump seaters. Anecdotally, the flights during the day are very full and the flights in the evening are more open unless there are reroutes. There are a lot of connecting cities with quick turns so the occasional two leg commute is somewhat helpful.
