We can't have our Weight data report issued planning to be overweight (it's a centrally generated datalink), however if it looks like we'll be a bit overweight for landing, the FAA now prefers we just land and write it up instead of doing crazy manuevering and dragging the plane around going into busy airports. this explanation you gave is much different than how I read/interpreted your first post on the topic. I am now on the same page. I originally read it as, we gonna be too heavy to land, oh well let's just go anyway.
