FYI, Today the air force just approved VSP (voluntary separation pay) for hundreds if not thousands of active duty IP level or higher pilots. The market is going to be flooded with a lot more instructor/evaluators than previously thought, effective June 1st. Stay patient everyone.
I don't think its in the thousands, but yes, there will be a mini-flood of ready USAF pilots throughout the summer months.
