I agree with most of what you post. However, I will point out that I LIKE happy flexes and LCAs. We want to attract good guys and gals to those positions. If they get a few perks….good! They don't get to trip trade like the rest of us, and they get to do meetings and paperwork--stuff I went to the airlines to get out of doing. I will also say in a dozen years at FedEx the flexes and LCAs I've worked with have all been outstanding. If being an LCA means you get nothing extra, then the only guys who will do the jobs are the Barney Fife types who want a little authority. I like our system. I say give them a raise.
