Yeah, you go in at your current longevity but for some idiotic reason, it stops at 12 so the only way anybody ever gets any pay increase is thru a new contract. So once again, we put ourselves at the mercy of management. If they choose to drag their feet when there is a contract in negotiations, nobody gets a pay increase that has been around more than 12 years until it is agreed upon. Insanity.
Honestly I'd rather have a quicker advancement with a shorter, steeper income incline than one that is drawn out over 18 years. JMHO.
