Secondly there is the constant fear of getting sent to a UAV in the Air Force and should that happen not only do I miss out on logging time, but my recency of experience goes to hell and I'm really screwed when I get out.

And last, but not least I am so unbelievably over the bull$hit in the Air Force. I am ready for flying to be my primary job again and ready to put my roots down in the Southeast for good even if that means I have to commute to my airline job.

Right now the Air Force is offering a decent separation pay to "thin" the force and I have already applied for it so I should know here in a few weeks whether it was approved or not.
I think your reasoning is mostly sound, but the part about flying all around Florida for $25,000 being fun is only a temporary situation that will last a very short period.
