Similar to this topic, but for those of us who live a little further south, Mustang Beach airport in Port Aransas, TX is a great getaway. Nice field just a short walk from the beach, and you can catch a trolley into town for 50 cents. Runs to the airport every 45 minutes past the hour if I remember.
