Well, this doesn't make any sense at all.
By this theory the "super low hiring and high attrition" would've already happened. There's no gap AFTER those 1k-1.2k guys, it would've been before. Which also makes no sense.
Sure, but the amount of pilots passing their CPL has decreased for the last couple of years. Less pilot pool overall...
Also take in consideration that in August the new rules to take the ATP written will dry up more. The amount of pilots that will pursue regional airlines as their entry job after CFI will be less.
By then PSA probably will announce that they can't do all the flying they think they can.
So again, high attrition while slow hiring. It's already happening, only that most of the PSA pilots think they will be at AA in 4 years.
