As to the post above you're getting a bit dramatic. I said this one rule should be fixed. However it's one rule... and it's likely to get fixed soon. Compare that to 6-7 year FOs at the regionals getting abused and paid peanuts. I don't know anyone blinded by big jets... just 16% direct contributions to retirement and the chance to make $200k as a captain. While it's not 1999 at United it should continue to get better.
You're talking about chopping fingers off and you're calling me dramatic?!? Ok, just teasing. Yes it was a bit dramatic and yes I'll never understand what a regional pilot has been through (unless I end up going to one), but to infer someone in the military wouldn't "cherish every part of the airline," is a bit of a stretch.
