No sugar coating, flying in Florida can be "fun". But let me tell you after nearly 20 years in the regional world before moving to a legacy, regional flying is exhausting. Of course, the novelty will wear off and you'll have to deal with the reality of the situation. And the Saab is nicknamed the Swedish Sauna for a reason! It is miserable in the south Florida heat. But Silver could be a pole vault to a major. But with the incompetent people running that place I just wouldn't plan on staying for any length of time. I agree with what Medic says. It's all up to you. Pilots here are very upset with the company and how management runs things. Silver isn't close to being a good airline but it certainly isn't the worst. We have an ok contract, ie; pay protection, bypass pay, 2-1 duty rig (not the best but regional standard and at least we have it), etc. Don't believe anything the recruiters tell you, it's most likely a lie. Silver is shutting down CLE and ATL so their main focus is going to be Florida and Dulles. The Saab is Purdy but that's about it. Florida's heat and humidity is no joke and that plane is hot! You seem to have a plan, stick to it and do your thing, this place just might give you that total time boos that you need to get on with a major. Good luck
