You know what would be fascinating? An infographic showing pilot movement into and out of various airlines, over time. So you could see things like 'average employment length of an FO at OO' or 'average number of regionals worked at by a pilot until mainline hire', and so on. It'd be a huge data exercise but fascinating to see.
That would be impossible just because those numbers change so dramatically over time. Average employment length has both been higher and lower at points in history than it is now. Number of regionals worked at was probably a lot higher in 2002 and 2008 when all of them were furloughing. Since no regionals will probably furlough this year people hired now may be sticking with one.
