Two people book a flight on Mainliner ABC. Pax #1 gets an FO who was just hired and was previously a Line Check CA and had all the credentials because the trip was from ORD-LAX. Pax #2 will be flying from PHX-YUM and will be getting a FO who was previously turned down after an interview or washed out because he couldn't get past the systems exam.
Yup, and the reason EVERY regional FO isn't a captain at a major is because they all fail checkrides and wash out of training. Don't you know that pilots are born into the cockpits of the majors, with tens of thousands of hours of experience? Regionals just get the leftovers.
