I assume your doing this because you want to work for Southwest. Being ex-military any of the majors would currently be a much better option. You will upgrade to Captain in less than 10 years at the "big three" vs. double that at Southwest.
What I want is a job. I am as qualified as I will ever be and have a retirement date in roughly 69 days and not a single call for an interview. Whether SWA is the best fit for me or not, is really a moot point, 100% of the guys I know who have type-ratings have gotten interviews. Not all have been hired, but I'd infinitely prefer being at SWA than at AE or Skywest. If I can get WIA to pick up the tab all the better.
