So for a complete noob, can someone shed some light on something for me? ASA/XJT have one operating certificate, but when I read through this thread I constantly hear bickering back and forth between L-ASA and L-XJT. Is this because union representation is still split between the two pilot groups? How would this division, whatever it is, affect a new hire? Which group do the new hires get thrown into?
One operating cert means as far as the FAA is concerned we are one airline. We still two different contracts and different representation.
