For my indoc class the shortest gap between indoc and training was 4 days. That was only for one guy, the average delay was 2 weeks and a few of us had a 20 day delay. Not sure how the summer will impact the wait times but I believe the training departments goal is to keep it in the 10-20 day range. Once you start Indoc you become a salaried employee at $3775 a month regardless of whether your in Indoc or awaiting your specific training date. If you are in the Guard/Reserve than you will most likely have the opportunity to go back home and drill for pay while you wait for your start date.
