Quote: I have done the msp-nyc commute. I highly recommend avoiding that. The problem will NYC is the company's line construction is garbage. Early starts and late finishes, non-commutable on both ends. The Flying is pretty good the crews are great. The only downside is the pairing construction I refuse to spend 6 days on planes for a 4 day trip.
Yeah, there's that. But I've been wargaming the NYC vs ATL commute once or twice a week for the last couple months, and NYC is almost always easier to get to from MSP than ATL. Plus, people junior to me are already holding lines in NYC. No, none of the trips are commutable, but just having a line vs reserve (usually with 3+ extra days off) helps make up for that.

Either one is gonna suck for a while, unavoidable fact of life for a commuting FNG. But from what I'm seeing & from talking to folks, MSP-NYC might suck a bit less than MSP-ATL.
