No gains out west or even MSP, all East... Hopefully though there will be enough goodness in these positions to FINALLY keep me from sliding backwards another % or two. In the past few AEs, even though they were all openings, the lack of western spots led to dudes senior to me bidding in and pushing me backwards, and I know all the guys from 2000-2001 hiring out west are seeing the same thing.
Fingers crossed though that all these Capt and WB spots will finally cause some senior FOs out west to finally move on! And the AE letter also said to expect growth in LAX 73N later in 2014, which would really be great to see. People out west seem to do anything to stay out here, so unless Capt and WB spots open up out west, it looks like we'll continue to backslide or stagnate.
Good news is this is a LOT of spots for new guys to fill, which means we should see continued hiring over and above the "official increase" posted of 600total. GREAT!
