There aren't really "200 drivers" since the bids are all just based on seniority. There are only about 8 FOs on the bid list for the 175 who aren't seat locked out of 1300 FOs at the company. Not many people are bidding it while so much is still unknown. It probably will go senior eventually since it pays more.

Of course it's easier to fly than a saab. So is the CRJ. Unfortunately at Skywest and every other airline the turboprop payscale is lower than the CRJ pay scale which is also lower than the E175 pay scale. No one who makes the pay scale cares about how hard a plane is to fly. There are plenty of people who would gladly stay on the brasilia overnighting in MRY and SBA every night if the pay were the same as the CRJ/ERJ.
