I flew with an LCA last week and asked him specifically about this. He said if it was a new hire or furlough recall guy, that we could expect to have to come ride along for a few legs for " operational integrity" (ie he screws up and they need to replace him on the spot). However unlikely that is, he still said it was how scheduling has been handling it. Maybe T or another LCA can chime in with more clarification??

I just had this situation this month. I was released the night before the trip and it was the initial OE for a new hire. I also was released a couple months ago for same IOE type training.
