Unfortunately the Line Check Airman is providing wrong and inaccurate information.

Once the student is released by the Flight Training folks (sim guys/gals), then he/she is the responsibility of Flight Standards folks (O.E guys/gals). The previously assigned F/O to the exact rotation will be released with NO RECOVERY OBLIGATION. He/She can utilize the open board to further enhance their paycheck.

When training cycles are up, there are several F/O's that will purposely bid my scheduling knowing they will be displaced. The down side is if there isn't a student... then they have to fly with me!!

The term "operational integrity" is pretty much a Bull $hit statement. If the person isn't capable of safely flying the line on day one of their O.E. then there is a serious problem with the standard in the simulator. As a former simulator guy; when I released a student to O.E. he was a "product" of me and I took it personal when they weren't ready.

Stay safe,
