I used to live in Buckhead. You'll be fine. As said before, give yourself some extra time if you are driving during rush hour just the case there is a wreck on the downtown connector, which happens quite often.
Anyone coming from up North on 400, forget about it. Worst commute in the City and has to be one of the worst in the nation. I don't know how people do it everyday.
