Anyway, I have a few questions about Skywest. If I was given the choice of ac, and chose the crj, whats the soonest I could be reserve or line in ORD and MSP? I live about a 3 hour drive to msp, 2 to ORD, and a single 25 minute flight for commutining. (In WI, so MSN is the closest place to catch a JS from) I know commuting sucks, but in this case its not much of one imo. Plenty of regionals, even a few legacy flights a day. Most of them to MSP or ORD, only one leg and driveable if it comes down to it. I know a few guys around here who have never not had a JS out of MSN. But with the new 117, maybe thats changed a little.

Also, if I got asinged to the bro(would be moving to base then) whats the upgrade time right now? What about for the crj?
Thanks! Pm's welcome!
You'll get MSP or ORD almost for sure right out of training. Almost all of the new hires usually end up going there. The most junior lineholder in MSP is a Nov. 2012 hire. The most junior lineholder in ORD is an Oct. 2012 hire. You'll spend about a year and a half on reserve in both bases unless thing start moving more.

Upgrade times are about 7 years for the Brasilia and 7.5 for the CRJ. At some point the upgrades are going to get through all the 2007 hires and then there were hardly any 2008 or 2009 hires. It should drop a couple of years pretty quick once the 07s are done upgrading.
