ASA CR7/9 bases are ATL, DTW. CR2 bases are ATL, IAD, DFW. Yes, CR7/9 is senior, so if you get it, you will be on reserve for a much longer time than the CR2. But the trips are much better.
The way ASA does it is they let newhires bid with their class seniority (age) for whatever open spots they need. It could be any airplane, any base, whatever their needs are that particular day.
