Don't worry about it. Nothing you said displayed any sense of entitlement or whatever else you were accused of. People that haven't looked into working in the Middle East don't see a difference between a 50 seat RJ and a 70 seat RJ, when in reality it makes a huge difference if you want to work in that part of the world. I can see where some folks would want to give you a hard time, but it's only because they don't know the ins and outs of the EK application process.
If you just want to fly a big RJ for giggles and grins, it would be another story.
