Be very careful financially with your educational costs, flying or not. The best man from my own wedding has north of 60k in debt from an art degree, and hasn't even graduated yet (in other words he hasn't started repayment yet.). I'm scared for what will happen when the loan payments come due. Without caution, loans can allow for instant gratification, but with a big consequences right around the corner.

Maybe the mods can "sticky" links to threads like these under "Flight Schools and Training.". This type of thread comes up fairly often.

Stratmatt, if you could go back and do things differently, what would you do? This could be very instructive to all the folks considering or are in the middle of flight training.
