I assume he was referring to the automated kiosks that are being installed, but my understanding is that they're not quite as quick as Global. After you answer the questions at the kiosk, I believe you still have to stand in line to have an inspector check the slip and your passport before you can go to the exit. With Global, they use your biometric info to confirm your identity, so you go directly from the kiosk to the exit, stopping only to hand your receipt to the guy collecting forms at the exit.
