Cost of GA aircraft
Just curious to see if anyone could shed some light on this for me.
Why is it that GA aircraft are so high right now? I don't understand. More GA manufacturers are in business now like Columbia, Diamond, Cirrus, Aviat etc as well as "rebuilders" like Cub crafters. Also, the experimental and LSA manufacturing is providing a great supply of aircraft to the GA market. Cessna and piper have been back in business for a while now.
Also, the cost of AVGAS isn't cheap. We all know that maintenance isn't cheap either. I have yet to mention tie-down or hangar fees.
Why are Cessna 172's going for 50k instead of 35 or 40K
Why are Aeronca champs going for 25K instead of 15K.
What i'm trying to say is that there should be an increased supply of GA aircraft and due to increasing costs there should be a decrease in demand of GA aircraft so why are the prices so darn high?
