Apparently this has happened to several folks and we were conjecturing they might have to meet a board or something. Turns out to be easier.
The "person" doesn't meet a board (if that's what you meant) but the application and day one interview results meet a periodic board to determine hire/no hire. It's periodic meaning some wait a while when others hear back immediately; it's just timing WRT interview date and board meeting. I guess in the past, maybe pre '07, the eval had more finality to it and folks were given the "no thanks" without a review.
It was the most intense and aganizing three weeks between the time I recieved the snail-mailed letter and the CTT phone call from the hiring department. Analyzing every one of the 600 odd MMPI questions and every word uttered on the couch, or was it the chair? Guess I chose poorly....
