You don't have your commercial yet and you're snubbing your nose at PDT because you want to fly an MD-11 eventually? Take the cart and put it back behind the horse. Worrying about whether or not PDT is a good place to go is moot if you don't have a commercial license yet. When you're looking for a job next year things will look different than they do right now, PDT might be shut down or might be growing with exciting changes. Things change rapidly, the best place now might not be any good next year. Find a place that wants you first, and if you have multiple airlines wanting you, then worry about the details. Worrying about which will put you in an MD-11 sooner - you might as well go buy one of those magic eight balls. Go where you will be happiest and make the most coin, hopefully based somewhere you want to live. Good luck to you on your ratings!
