SLC is extremely senior but it's also the biggest base. It always seems to be a wildcard for junior FOs. Sometimes they put an entire new hire class there, and other times they go a year without transferring a single pilot in on both the bro and RJ.
One thing that almost never changes about SLC is that on the RJ you can expect to be on reserve for multiple years, and on the brasilia the trips are terrible. I know quite a few people who have actually transferred out of SLC and chosen to commute just to get a line or on the brasilia to get a better line.
