Rather than have the days put in the vacation bank and only get paid 2 more weeks of vacation next year ( worth 45:30), I'd rather use them to drop trips, get paid for them (72:00, two six day trips), and take a summer month off or possibly green slip on a regular line with the month free...
Let's see, use 12 day drop two 36 hour 6 day trips. 72:00 + 3 from the bank to reach GS trigger + 70:00 for one 6 day/35 hour GS + 70:00 for the 2nd 6 day/35 hour GS = a possible 215 hour month for flying 12 days....
Granted that's a pie in the sky scenario but, if nothing else, I get a month during the summer off!
I think it's a much better use of PB days.
