FDP extensions – Contact by the Company to the PIC is not required for any unforeseen delay that would require the crew to operate up to 30 min beyond their Table B FDP limit. There is a requirement for the Company and the PIC to concur that there are no legality issues that would disallow any crewmembers from operating beyond 30 minutes up to a 2 hour extension. Again, please remember this is separate from the requirement that a pilot must attest to being fit for duty prior to every flight . If a crewmember declines a legal extension, the scheduler will note the UNA on their schedule and forward to the Chief Pilot’s office to be handled by them.
