ASA gets the scraps left over that Skywest can't cover. That's why they got IAD flying for United. That's why they got American flying in DFW. ASA took a 1 for 2 trade on 50 seaters for the 900s and had some aircraft get extended contracts. The only thing XJT has done for ASA is cost them money, make them change their uniforms and make bad blood.
XJT guys moaned in the crew vans, talked poorly about the ASA guys on the pipe, said the ASA guys would roll over on the TA, then they were proven wrong and now claim a great victory.
It sure would be nice if the XJT guys would look positively at ASA and realize if it weren't for them they would probably be out of jobs. Not to mention they are lucky ASA was ALPA and not their own representation, then there wouldn't be any language about fair seniority come integration time. I just get tired of reading this thread and the constant amount of whine and belittling.
I didn’t mean to pretend to understand your frustration, but was pointing out that Delta’s pen controls you life more than the ExpressJet pilot group. Didn’t ASA have a base in DFW; wouldn’t pilots enjoy not commuting, how is that scraps?
