Although I know part of this job is adventure and fun exploring, may I caution you not to give up your hard fought for "is what it is" CBA business class seats regardless of the type of transportation used. If you're getting the business or first on the train enjoy it. If you're not, well, . . . I won't waste my time writing how screwed up that is.
I do, however, understand taking a train if business class is sold out and there's no other alternative.
How does this pertain to a hiring thread you might ask? Well, it's time we start policing our own and negotiations will be here before you know it. I would like to hope that anyone that joins our group understands that when you give up a benefit found in the CBA for your own convenience it gives data to management that people really don't need what we have (different layover hotels for longer times, business class seats, etc.).
Enough said, off the soap box, good luck in getting the class date.
Cheers!
