Not sure if that's gonna happen, this would send the wrong message to those candidates sitting in the pool. The fair thing to do is empty the pool first, then call the World & North American pilots.
I interviewed yesterday. Great experience and great group of folks I interviewed with. I don't know if the actual HIRING preference will be extended to the World bubbas, but out of the group of 13 yesterday we had:
- mil only 3
- corporate 1
- me (I'm special)
- rest were World, so 8
And from what I heard the groups interviewing the two prior days were similar in makeup. Again, don't know if they are hiring more World folks but they are definitely the majority of those interviewing.
For those wondering, the format has changed as previously stated (or at least it changed for us). The essay and resume review are/were gone so it was only a tech panel interview with 2 and then the panel interview of 4.
Finally, DB from HR said she would be notifying us via email in about 2 weeks to let us know how we did...guess they aren't doing the FedEx deliveries anymore.
