Some have been called, others ignored. The hiring process is opaque at best, and typically the worst part is when you're in the pool, watching class after class get filled, with no idea where you stand.

This thread is a great resource for answering questions about the process. But getting the initial call from HR, or the call out of the hiring pool, remain complete mysteries to anyone except HR.

Also, some seismic shifts are on the way. Anybody hired into the 747 before the 767 seat locks begin to expire in September needs to understand that they'll be locked into ANC for three years, and even with the company buying tickets, that commute - on your days off - is going to suck.

The 767 may pay 17% less beginning in year two, but at least there will be movement every time we hire.
I can't find anywhere in the contract that allows the company to lock a pilot into a base.
