I was told in my interview that they are taking 6 bros offline until the work in sfo is complete. No bro classes for the next couple months. I got the June 2nd crj class. They also mentioned they would most likely be hiring into the 175 by end of summer. I was really hoping for the bro since I'm in the LA area but wasn't willing to wait 2 to 3 months for a class.
I can't discuss specifics but SkyWest is not going from 45 EMBs to 39 just because of the runway closure in SFO this summer. Expect all 45 EMBs to be flying their tails off all summer. There is strategic planning in place for SFO but it wont be initially obvious. I think everyone will start to figure out when they see it for themselves.
The EMB is the second most profitable aircraft in the fleet, and you dont just park 15% of them for a few months. I hope that helps it make more sense.
