I understand a higher percentage of 73 flights depart from EWR, but the pay scale is lower. What am I not considering that I should be, what don't I know, and what am I thinking is a bigger deal than it should be?
Thanks, and I look forward to flying with you soon!
Congrats on getting a class date! I've been here since 11/2013 EWR 76T FO. 90% of the flying is to Europe on 767-300 out of EWR which mostly includes three LHR per day along with GVA, AMS and CDG. 75 Premium Service flying is exclusively out of JFK to LAX/SFO and goes senior. I only sat reserve up until March. Since April, I've had a line and flying only out of EWR to Europe. I average 13 days off with 80+ block with 90+ credit hours so you won't hear me complain. FO's get $4.50 international override which helps too.
Reserve was relatively better than regional with ability to pickup trips or short call. We are extremely short on crews so expect to fly a lot on reserve.
Please feel free to message with any other questions. Good luck in training and welcome to United!
