I interviewed with Comair on Tuesday (8th) at CVG. It was my first interview with an airline, so I really have no basis for comparison. But, their headquarters was very impressive. Overall, the people were all very nice, and very professional, which I think says a lot about the company. We were told that most pilots stay an average of 12 years with the company as well, which tells me that QOL is good in the long run. As was said before, everybody starts out at JFK for about the first year. Upgrade time is about 4 years. Payscale on this site is accurate.

The interview gouges you'll find online are dead on. The HR and Tech interviews are done in a single 2-on-1 session, and there is absolutely no way to prepare in advance for the cognitive test other than getting plenty of sleep the night before.

The only inaccuracy I can remember in any gouge I found was regarding accomodations during training. One gouge I found said that they only paid for the hotel for the first week. We were told it is covered for the entire duration (which is about 2.5-3 months, including IOE). And, in the near future, they're working on providing furnished apartments for the pilots in training rather than a hotel (makes financial sense to me). If you're in a hotel, it will either be the Holiday Inn or the Ramada. Hope for the Ramada since there's nothing else around the Holiday Inn.

It takes 7-10 days to find out if you got the job or not. Phone calls are good. Letters are bad. If you get the call you have two business days to get to a local LabCorp location to take the pre-employment drug screening.

Right now I'm just waiting on a phone call, hopefully.

Good luck!!
