They give you a somewhat vague question intentionally to watch how you methodically build the picture and work the problem (be a captain).... or do what you did. I'll give you one guess as to what direction scores higher.
Exactly. I think some people are somehow reaching the conclusion that they want you to flat out refuse to do that the CA is asking in that situation as that is the "right answer". There's way more too it than that. There are ways you can comply with what the CA is asking and "still get hired" it all depends on how you get there and possibly what you do from there. These typically aren't right/wrong answer test questions. They are dynamic probmel solving methodology exercises and they are more interested in watching you work through it than any one outcome in most cases.
