Many people applying are not currently in 121 jobs ... Some in 135, 91, etc. If I was to guess, I'd say they're looking to see what aircraft someone is flying and the last time they went through class. Just my humble opinion.
That's interesting. When they called me about my situation and discussed how they'd like me more current I half halfheartedly joked that I'd take $20,000 and go rent a cabin class twin and fly fifty hours in it the following week if they gave me a date.

Which, although sounds outwardly stupid at first is actually the difference in pay between JB year one and a regional. So it washes out the same in terms of opportunity cost. And I save three - six months of time. And a likely commute. And don't have to buy a hat. They didn't buy it.
