Thanks. My intent was never to deceive; my memory is pretty fuzzy on a minor ticket I racked up 8 years ago. I'd hate to get myself eliminated over such a minor detail but when even my car insurer couldn't find the ticket in their records, I doubt I'd have any luck trying to track down any more info myself. You should check and see how expensive it is to order your driving record from the state your license was issued. In my case, a $10 payment to the state of Alaska had my complete driving record faxed to me the next business day. That included two citations that predated my living in AK.
If a company is going to do a background check on you, it's certainly beneficial to see what they're going to see before they do.
